Is BenchApp really free?
Yes — the Free plan covers everything you need to run a happy team: unlimited roster, scheduling, player stats, team messaging, and email RSVPs. You only need PRO if you want extras like text message reminders, advanced finance tracking, and live scorekeeping.
What's included in PRO?
PRO unlocks text message RSVP and broadcasts, bulletins & polls, advanced finance tracking, automatic schedule sync, the live scorekeeper, pay-to-play, player waivers, automated waitlists, and more. The full list is in the comparison above.
Do I need to upgrade every team?
PRO is per team. If you manage multiple teams, you can upgrade each one individually — or look at the League plan which gives PRO to every team in your league with league-wide tools on top.
Can I switch back to Free if I cancel?
Yes. Cancel anytime and your team stays on BenchApp Free with all of your data intact. You just lose access to the PRO features.
How does billing work?
We bill monthly through Stripe. You can switch to annual billing at any time to save. Refunds are available within the first 14 days of your first subscription — just reach out to support.
Do players need to pay too?
No. Only the manager pays for PRO. Players can join, RSVP, and message for free on every plan.
